About BarbieQ: “Imagine badass Korean food paired with blow-your mind cocktails in a deconstructed barbie-art installation,” according to the website. Denver chef Bill Espiricueta, who just opened Smōk restaurant at The Source Hotel, is cooking “Korean grilled Barbie legs” (which are frog legs) among other themed specials. Bartender Shawn Campbell will pair cocktails like the Malibu Ken made with bourbon, lemon juice, and pear brandy. The event takes place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 1414 Larimer Street, with multiple seatings. Tickets cost $75 for dinner and drinks or $20 for a late-night happy hour.
